More and more often, when you come to us to purchase a tablecloth, you ask me to recreate the ensemble you see on our pictures, with tables complete with every detail, from the tablecloth to the placemats and, of course, the appropriate napkins. The fact that I prefer to combine different colors and patterns with each other makes it less obvious, and perhaps less simple, to purchase a tablecloth complete with napkins and puts you in front of a somewhat more complex choice, but at the same time certainly much more stimulating!
Today, therefore, I would like to put the emphasis on the fact that whenever you decide to buy a complete table of ours, you are actually buying all the elements that very easily will give you the possibility of bringing to life at least 3 or more very different tables and suitable for different occasions.
I can give you a lot of examples by looking at our photographs, because by tablecloth combined with an undercloth, maybe with napkins or placemats, you can create at least three tables set up with each of these elements taken separately, and I am not talking about simple classic tables but every time tables with a strong personality, perfect for events, for a formal dinner, for a lunch with friends or for a breakfast. Our tablecloths embellished with contrasting or embroidered borders can be set on their own for an everyday but still very elegant table setting. If you combine a single-color pure linen tablecloth, you will get a tablecloth suitable for grand occasions, a formal dinner , a buffet or a gala dinner.
At the same time, the pure linen undercloth could be used as an elegant tablecloth for a classic table , perhaps enhanced by silver or mirror ground and anitrate underplates. You certainly could not achieve the same effect with a classic heavy satin under tablecloth....
Finally, placemats or underplates used to complete our table live well on their own, whether used directly on the linen undercloth or on the bare table to host a refined breakfast or brunch. The only note, always match an int cloth napkin, never paper. If then to a tablecloth with border we have combined a patterned tablecloth, such as a toile de jouy, a stripe or a square these last ones also used alone will be the perfect mise en place and great personality for an elegant dinner or lunch. The pattern and generous proportions with the hemline going down to the floor already make them very elegant and will provide you with an assist to play with a theme. Match the right plates, nice crystal glasses, and of course napkins!
