All our flax is certified European Flax® trademark, the quality mark of the European Confederation of Flax and Hemp. What does it mean?
The EUROPEAN FLAX® label certifies traceability at every stage of processing, from the seeds to the finished linen product and guarantees that the fabric comes from France, Belgium or the Netherlands. Not only that, this certification guarantees environmentally friendly, GMO-free and waste-free farming, with strictly mechanical fibre extraction, thus without the use of chemicals. In addition to the environment and consumers, the EUROPEAN FLAX® label protects workers and producers, in collaboration with the International Labour Organisation (ILO), to prevent exploitation and protect the rights of frontline workers. It is therefore a certification that guarantees the quality, origin and sustainability of the fabrics we use to create Borgo delle Tovaglie products and which we are truly proud to offer.
